Dan spoke up. "I'm with the Empress on this. I was briefed on the way your General entered the palace, and I must say, you are lucky he wasn't killed Commander."

Jalua smiled briefly, understanding the Supreme Commander's reasons. "Well our relations with the Mandalorians are just in my opinion. We expanded our territory to secure our border with them, my cousin herself went to speak to them, I'll admit that. The reason being is that it would be unwise for two powerful empires not to speak, that would just cause trouble between the two over many things". Jalua waited for a moment but there was no response. "Anyway, what matters here is that we reach an agreement. My Admirals and Generals are ready for war, although it isn't exactly welcomed right now, we are prepared for it. This planet is just a small example of what my Empire is turning to be right now, the government is coming under military control and trained citizens are even taking up arms ready for war. We are prepared and we will defend ourselves. If you are telling the truth and you do not wish to invade our territory, then of course we shall begin lowering down our alert levels, but we seriously need to reach an understanding. What is it that we have done so that nobody from your Empire even acknowledged our calls through several channels? It seems that only our fleet movements actually made you aware enough to send someone, who didn't exactly strike me to be aware of diplomatic reasoning".

"Empress." Hammond looked deadly serious as he said this, leaning forward and glancing at Dan and Jalua. "Grand Admiral. I have yet to recieve a single official transmission asking me to speak to you. Add t o that the intel that I have recieved that the Jedi Order and the Mandos have allied with the Coalition and Black Moon, I seem to be surrounded by more enemies than allies.
Do you remember when I went to Gyndine, and the Order specifically admitted they would not take sides?
Do you remember that we were close allies?
Yet now you have closed your borders, I have recieved no contact from you, and you have already formed a new, pre-war alliance with the Mandalorians!
And just to address the issue of my top General coming here, he was coming here to ask for your aid in curing me!"

Jalua simply grinned. Briefly glancing at Dan to see his face made her burst out laughing. "I myself am a Jedi Knight, so we do take sides, with each other. If your worried about us all making an alliance though, then you believe its for the wrong reasons. We simply made an acknowledgement that the four of us felt that the Sith presence was rising. It was discussed and we all agreed to stand firm. But if things were going to be discussed about such an alliance, don't you think we would have made a formal treaty? A public announcement? I'd go as far as to say that us closing our borders was simply a bad assessment by your admiralty. Your taxation of one-hundred and fifty percent outside of your borders means that we've encountered many difficulties. Our borders have been flooded with traders seeking to move their business and buy our own food supplies to accommodate our neighbours. Although i will agree that our position is now stronger since you increased the taxation, it also means that crime is almost unstoppable. The navy and army are assisting our police and border control authorities seemingly everywhere, trying to keep people from commiting crime in our territory. Now tell me this, how is it not meant to alienate others?". Jalua then listened to John's message of the General coming to ask for assistance, she paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts. "You should know that I will always help you, especially in such a condition. Your General however, didn't give that impression to myself. He clouded the thoughts of my guards and came in screaming out about an alliance, i thought we were meant to be in one. If your General was misinformed or whatever, he paid the price. But he should have asked me privately for help. But in response to your answer, yes i will help you".

"Taxation of other systems is not a problem for me. I control all the trade routes and soon all the warlords will be forced to yield to me.
Now, in my latest navy report, Imperial scouts found a large number of mines in the Mandalorian-Galactic Empire border. Some were custom made Salandian mines. They were easily traceable.
So. How is this alliance not meant to protect you against me?"

Jalua raised an eyebrow, he still wasn't getting the message of not being in an alliance. "John," she addressed him informally to try and get it across, "those mines have been placed in the last three days, that is because of growing tensions. I myself gave an order to begin fortifying our territories in case of invasion, we have some minefields and defence stations along our border with the Mandalorians, we also have some being laid on our border with the Hutt Space. Today i again confirmed with my staff that i didn't want Nubia to be fortified, it is an easy link between your empire and my own. Doing so would simply give out the wrong impressions. So yes, some of those mines would be made by us, but if you look carefully, along the border both factions have mines webbed together, it is a defensive shield against threats, not a specific group". Jalua realised what was happening however, he was pressing her more and more into revealing information. Things which although she could afford to share, might upset relations with other groups, and the thing what worried her most was alienating her other friend here, Dan Zorko.

"Jal--" John was interrupted by severe coughing, and blood spattered onto his arm. He looked at it disgusted, and motioned.
"Very well. You are not in an alliance with the Mandalorians." He made a gesture with his arms, "We are still allies. So what happens if I take on the mandalorians? Would you stay out of it?"
John's head moved down, he was really tired.
"Anyways. You have my assurance my forces will not invade Coalition or Black Moon planets, and that they will not engage in battle with either of your armies or navies'. Understood?"

Jalua's eyes glanced briefly at Dan who remained quiet, but responded to John's question like it wasn't a problem. "I cannot assist you in such an action, i see nothing to gain and the losses would be staggering". She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts again. Reaching out in the force, she settled John's pain for a moment, allowing him to continue. "That's understood and likewise, we would give you advance warning if you began to do something which we disapproved of. Although your questioning of the Mandalorians disturbs me, if you are not invading us then perhaps you are preparing to invade them? We did hear that some of your ships had withdrawn from Mandalorian Space yesterday. In case your wondering," she added, "my priority is to keep the peace here. Whatever it takes".

"Jalua. My priority is for my interest. And if I were preparing to launch an invasion against the Mandalorian commandos, I would not be about to tell you, would I?" He paused for a moment, and took a deep breath. "For the moment, I need to consolidate my forces. I want to organize a search party to find this Sith Lord. After that, I will continue to expand, mostly to the south of our galaxy, and so on. I have no intention of alienating you or the grand Admiral Zorko."

"Good" she snapped back straight away, "I'll remember to do you the favour of keeping you out of the loop then. This Sith Lord your hunting for, I think you may find yourself better going to the Jedi Order than me" her voice was getting louder, although she didn't realise this. For a brief moment, her eyes flashed in a orange shade, before returning to normal. She herself did not notice this.

Dan grimanced as John started coughing blood, then leaned forward wen Jalua had her outburst. "Peace, Empress. Yelling is going to do little. I agree with John, if I had plans to invade a planet, I wouldn't tell anyone outside of my government for security reasons. But John, I'm with the Empress on the matter of you taking on the Mandolorians. I also don't see anything to gain, so I would not assist either. Also, I plan to be fortifying my borders as well soon for defensive purposes, so take warning now so we don't have to go through this meeting again, this time on Lok."

ooc: i assume you are at a table
*The comm board at the table the lot of them were sitting at buzzed and a live scale image of Caedus Sadow appeared. He bowed the collection of leaders*
"Leaders of the Galaxy, I bring word from the Order. The galaxy has been on edge in the waning months to say the least. We must prepare for the worst. The Sith threat is much greater than before, and I fear the jedi are powerless to reveal what this threat entails. The dark side of the force clouds everything. The Order offers its leadership and council at your disposal in these dark times."
Sadow stood quietly listening to their conversations, and waiting patiently to be addressed.
