Should we have the layout like under the last redfive with the planets and areas listed by empire? Or should we have it under region? Like core worlds etc.

is there a way that we could do this according to both? like say we could have them in order of region but have the titles to be colored according to faction. and are the jedi and sith order going to have a few planets of their own?

I could put them in order of region then color in at the bottom of the description, what faction they belong to relating to that faction's color. I'll make a start to show you how.

Oh right, sorry about that i'll add them now hey guys don't forget about the background and stuff like that. We could try out a real fancy design if you want, or just simple colour blocks like used on the previous redfive forums. Let me know which, and here's some examples of what i mean;

That'd be good but first we should decide which forum style to go for. And also what colours to look for, I know something star wars-like would be nice but should we go for Red and Black? Blue and Silver?
Edit: I've taken the colour scheme from an old RPG I used to run and put it on here. Go to profile and select test from the menu when editing it. Then take a look at the results.

That's strange because i've already got administrators managing skins. Can you edit skins that are made already?

I can create one but it won't let me place colors for backgrounds and txts

We need to do some work on the layout, I shall do the majority within the next few weeks or sooner if possible.
I want to make the pictures in the planet descriptions smaller but still hold detail, more flexibility for creating new topics for other planets in the SW Universe, Some of the unused planets moved or hidden away to be used at a later date.
Should make the loading times faster and things a little more organised looking. Should be easier to post into sections too.
If you have any ideas on what else to do then let me know, or if you disagree with any of the above. I will take your opinions into what i change/create.

I know this is an old topic, but looking around I see a few little holes that could do with a bit of tweaking...
Each planet should have its own board and any subsequent features of that planet should have their own board within the planet's board, for example Coruscant would have the Jedi Temple as a sub-board, and possibly the Galactic Senate and so on as main features.
I just feel it would help tidy up the board, guide you to where you want to be and help those such features of the planet receive the attention they deserve.

No no, the topic is still relevant so don't be afraid of posting We have had a bit of work done about a month or two ago, i forget exactly when it was. Anyway, I agree, the boards need re-working. I've been wondering if we should put them into categories for regions, but to be honest, i also like how its put into categories for factions. It worked well when we had lots of neutral areas too. I'll have a look now through the boards and see if i can do what you say, it should help a lot. If i see areas which won't get enough activity to justify the existence of a dedicated sub-forum, I'd rather not do it just for the sake of doing so. But let me know what you think, I'm having a go at it now.

I feel places that appear key to a faction are at least worthy of it. Possibly Lok considering it's just living under the BM faction in a thread or two right now. Perhaps a sub-board for that could be... say... a BM HQ or a barracks/lookout post or something along those lines?
I've always ordered boards into regions personally and put a label in the board description for the owners, but that's my preference and I do see how it helps clear things up when it's under a faction name instead of region.
