If you are using Firefox right now, then there is an add-on you can install into firefox called Greasemonkey. What it does is allows 'scripts' to be linked to websites, so you could have a simple countdown bar appearing at the top of a certain website you visit. Many proboards codes go straight into the header & footer, although recently people have begun to see some benefits on using Greasemonkey Scripts with Proboards. At the moment, several people are beginning to code scripts. They can make them work on every single proboards forum, just one, or exclude just a couple but give the features to the rest.
I have currently installed a script for a live post preview, which updates in real-time as you type. Another I got is for the same but with the signature, so that you can see how it will look before you save your profile. If you want to give it a go, then visit Here and download greasemonkey straight into firefox. Then, visit Studio Zero and visit their greasemonkey section. The scripts available on there should all be fine for using with Proboards, if you look elsewhere on the web you may find some which are a little dodgy however, so do be careful.
I'm finding the live preview for the post and signatures very very useful, it means that whatever proboards forum i visit, it's there. If i ever find some forums with a live preview script added into the headers and footers, i can easily just put the url into the exclude box and it wont appear on that forum/website again. It's rare that forums have this feature put in because it's not with vanilla proboards, which means greasemonkey allows you to have it with you everywhere
