From the 3rd Invasion Battlegroup at Telti arrived 3 Victory Mk. I Star Destroyers, 4 Nebulon-B Frigates and a small flotilla of other ships. They headed straight for Ambria with the intention of securing the system and it's planets. This move would hopefully cut off the Mandalorian Empire and it's possible attempts at re-supplying the Coalition.

A small force from the 8th Forward Reconnaissance Squadron was stationed at Ambria. Their role was mainly to escort frigates and destroyers patrolling the nearby border. The three Squadrons of R-Wings was no match for the force which approached them, but they were agile, fast and were based of half veteran and half new pilots. This meant that these new pilots had done their training but were now being tutored by the pilots who had seen combat. The programme was going on throughout the Coalition and giving the new pilots from the conscription a chance to learn more before going to war. At least that was the idea. The three squadrons sent out an individual distress signal, the experienced pilots had learned that response was generally low at the moment with so much confusion but the sound of three distress calls from different squadrons in the same region of space would ensure a rapid response. With the calls going off, the squadrons although separated, began to dive towards the incoming ships. They believed they could take out at least two of those frigates before being forced to retreat, doing so would give the Coalition a little extra time to arrive with a sizeable force and drive the Imperials away.

The 3rd Invasion Battlegroup continued it's approach and to their surprise came under attack by the R-Wings. What the Imperial Commanders had underestimated was the effectiveness of the Coalition's Torpedos. While TIE fighters and Interceptors approached, already the torpedo's damage the first frigate. With the R-Wings flying around them, the Captains of the Frigates bar one went into utter panick and attempted to turn their ships about. Unfortunately, this was taking a long time and revealed the perfect target, their engines which had previously been covered by the Victory Star Destroyers.

The R-Wings continued their attacks, their torpedos being launched in coordinated strikes to damage the engines of the frigates. This was their best opportunity at delaying or stopping the invasion of Ambria. Reinforcements were unlikely to be called for such simple resistance and with the frigates damaged, they would be easy targets if left alone by that Star Destroyer. With the frigate's in panic, this only helped the pilots and their trainee's who had ample chance to get at the Frigate's engines which of course the Victory Star Destroyer had been covering from the rear. It wasn't lost in anyone's mind that with the current confusion, the Captain of the Victory Star Destroyer might make some bold moves.

A frigate had itself ripped open from the side and immediately began to launch a fireball from it's side. The flames, fuelled by whatever had exploded from the torpedo's were damaging the frigate's internal decks which was not built to contain such a large gap. With another Frigate having it's engines blown out, the remaining two managed to flee into Hyperspace. What remained however was now a Victory Star Destroyer being surrounded by three R-Wings Squadrons. Unless they wanted to risk damaging the Star Destroyer, they would be unable to launch themselves into hyperspace. This meant that with the two frigates unable to move, the only way the Victory could realistically get rid of these fleas was to approach the stranded frigates and hope that the gunners could shoot them off. With only two frigates however, it may take some time, the Captain now regretted sending away those other two, who were needed to free the Star Destroyer.

Fire from the Frigates began thundering in at the starfighters so under direction of the more experienced pilots, they began to hug the Star Destroyer, zooming just barely over the hull of the ship. Being so close made them lose their ability to fire on the Star Destroyer or the Frigates, but it did put the Star Destroyer in a difficult situation and those Frigates had no chance of shooting them without hitting the Star Destroyer. While this happened, a single Star Chariot entered the system. Being far away, it was well out of harms way. Realistically, it would struggle against a single Victory Star Destroyer, but three was out of the question, even if they did seem to be loose from their previous formation. Reinforcements were however, out of the way, and the chariot could begin sending analysis reports back to the Coalition on what was needed at Ambria.

While one of the Victory Star Destroyers attempted to approach it's sister ship, the third vessel decided to create a guard point between the Chariot and the stranded Victory. What was happening was getting close to a rescue operation, and that was not going to be an easy thing to get out of. With the appearence of the Chariot, it proved that reinforcements were on their way. How many was unknown, so was the exact time when they would arrive. As such, the surprise assault had been held off skillfully by three R-Wing Squadrons. The Invasion was not going as planned.

The first Main Battle Fleet, minus it's SSDs (Which were left to defend Taris), came out of hyperspace behind the lone Star Chariot, which was starting to be closed in on by a Victory Star Destroyer. The Talons Revenge moved into a blocking manuver to place itself between the Chariot and the Vic. "Open a line with the Coalition." ordered Dan. When a line had been opened, he cleared his throat. "Coalition forces, this is Grand Admiral Zorko of Black Moon leading the 1st Main Battle Fleet. Permission to join the fray?"

Surprised that a Black Moon Fleet had arrived, the Coalition Captain immediately replied. "This is Captain Daai, Reinforcements are on their way but you are welcome to join in. It seems that this small Imperial Squadron is only one of a series of Imperial Invasions into our territory. I was debriefed about a situation at Commenor and Zeltros when we got this call. We will join in formation now". The Chariot was faster than most other Coalition Vessels and contained modern technology, it truly was becoming the backbone of the Navy.

"Understood." said Dan. "We have similar reports about Commenor and Zeltros, but it seems those raids were unsuccessful for the Imperials. This seems to be the last of this wave." Dan indicated out the viewport towards the Vic that seemed to have stopped at the sight of the BM forces, and was trying to turn around and flee. The Talons Revenge opened up with its starboard cannons. "I'm going to leave a few ships here until your reinforcements arrive. Feel free to stay in formation. Out." Dan ended the transmission as the Imperial Vic exploded. He opened up a line with Admiral Clemence. "Hold here with 5 Nebulas, 10 Victory II SDs, and 2 MC80as. Defend Zeltros until the Coalitions reinforcements arrive, but stay until I call you or they tell you to leave." "Sir." said Clemence. "And you?" "I'm brining the rest of the first to Salanda. I have a feeling the Empress is there." He left unsaid the fact that he was worried about their unborn child, which no one else knew about yet. "Out." The rest of the 1st hit hyperspace towards Salanda.

With one Victory soon down, the other remaining free Star Destroyer fled, leaving one stranded Victory and two Frigates at the mercy of the Black Moon forces. Their appeal of course, was sent to the Coalition Star Chariot which they believed might show them some mercy. The Captain begged frantically, believing that this plea for surrender might be the last thing which saved himself.
