Should battles be separated into orbital and land or remain in one topic?
Also, what would be the best way in your opinion of eliminating resistance on a planet? In my eyes it would be calculated strikes on the main cities of the planet and military facilities of greatest importance. Group troops would land within five miles of their targets unless added surprise was needed.
Once the cities are taken, routine patrols in my eyes should be sufficient to secure a planet. Intelligence would need to be gathered quickly and any threat eliminated quickly and quietly when the intelligence cannot be gathered for use any longer.
