Idella Faros walked onto the bridge where she had been summoned, she looked at a console where the Captain and Rear Admiral was watching some details closely. The lieutenant saluted to her before the Rear Admiral or the Captain noticed her presence. "Admiral, we have received a message from the planet Ruuria in the last half hour. They missed their local time transmission but this came through" the Lieutenant spoke to her before nodding to the console operator. On the screen, a frightened local was recording some of the shuttles landing and soldiers falling out. The clip was only a few seconds long, but the recognition database had successfully identified that the shuttles had a 78% probability of being Imperial Forces.
It was after seeing this that the Rear Admiral approached her. "Ma'am, i suggest we order forces in the region to begin evacuation to a safe zone". Idella looked at him strangely, "Is this what the Republic Navy does in the Outer Rim? Well i don't. Order all available forces to converge upon our location and inform the Perlemian Network to spread our order". The Perlemian Network was one of the Republic Intelligence Highways which had agents in civilian ships travel from base to base, spreading messages securely by mouth. Once two agents had passed the same message, it was acted upon. Because of the Imperial Coalition's knowledge of Republic codes and encryption, it was now feared insecure to use at long distances due to the vast invasion which had taken place towards the Core Worlds.

Almost eleven hours had passed since the first alert of the invasion by the Imperial Remnant. Idella's call had been passed along the Perlemian and now Hydrian Networks. Hundreds of ships had been lent by Admirals and other senior officers throughout the region and Naval Command was beginning to show signs of reacting to the crisis. Idella had already placed into position sensor beacons surrounding the main key jump points of the Rurrian System, to alert the Republic of any major fleet movement (OOC: Don't worry, I'll miss your movement). At Lianna, the Republic was not only now scouting for Remnant Forces, but also those of the Imperial Coalition who was known to have considerably expanded their territory in the region. In fact, Idella had already begun telling experienced and respected captains that it was likely they would enter a battle against two foes, or against the Coalition rather than the Remnant depending on how the situation changed.
OOC: This is basically a courtasy post to let you know I'm still involved in this. Continue your attack and I'll be there soon, just don't have a lot of time tonight. I should have plenty tomorrow but will only be certain by the afternoon, hence me not starting anything i can't finish.

By the end of the second day, the Republic Fleet now had knowledge that the Imperial Fleet had detected them. With this in mind and specially placed sensor beacons in place, it would only be a matter of time before the Imperial Remnant prepared for a Republic counter-attack. Not a single major attack had been made since Onderon many months ago, and this had made the Republic loose more territory than had actually been conquered. By being constantly on the defensive and protecting everything they could, they hadn't actually freed any planets. This meant that faith had been lost and many planets decided to become neutral or become allies with the conquering factions who continued to sweep throughout the galaxy. But now things would change.
Idella stood with two other Admirals, both of them men, looking at a star chart. The chart accurately showed the distance and regions which had formed in this sector of the galaxy, whith where the border was currently located and the hotspot of Rurria near this border. "I propose that we go on the offensive. With all three of our fleets now here, we have attracted the attention needed to lure the Imperial Remnant into an ambush. What we shall do is have our interdictor cruisers come out of hyperspace around the system and activate their gravity wells, disallowing the Imperial Scouts from reaching the safety of hyperspace. Starfighter squadrons with the support of larger craft will eliminate these scouts and all of our fleets shall move out of the system. Fearing that an attack is near, the Imperial Remnant may defend Rurria in a desperate bid to continue securing the planet. I doubt this however and think that they will go for a premptive strike. From previous encounters with Republic Fleets across the galaxy, we have always retreated back to fight in our own backyard, not in theirs. However, if they do arrive at Lianna, it will be to a system which is probably going to change allegiance at some point soon, leaving them with a tricky situation of now offering protection to the planet or suffer the confusion and rudeness of leaving them alone. Meanwhile, we shall make our attack here". Idella pointed her finger to the edge of the chart which moved with her. Eventually she found her target and with a simple press, the chart zoomed in on the target. "This is
"This is Gyndine and recently declared itself a member of the Imperial Coalition. It's being dragging surrounding systems into the Coalition and some even suggest that border regions are already inhabited by the Coalition. I don't want this to continue and hence, we should begin our invasion here. Doing so will force the Imperial Remnant to react and possibly draw out those Black Moon Pirates. If we do this, the rest of the Republic may see what we are doing and decide to stick around, strengthening our cause that little while longer". Idella was in charge of these two Admirals, at least until the High Admiral arrived but nobody knew when that would be. And if he arrived here when they weren't, she couldn't pass control onto him who would seemingly from his current record, demand that they pull back and set up defences along the new border. Both Admirals gave their approval to the plan and Idella unplugged a datacard from the terminal which closed down. The two Admirals went their seperate ways while Idella briefly watched the chart die down and took the datacard to the bridge where the orders would be transmitted.

After two days, the Republic fleeted had amassed into a powerful fighting force. All together, there were the following ships; - 2 Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts
- 54 Nebula-class Star Destroyers
- 95 Galactic-class Battle Carriers
- 83 Scythe-class Main Battle Cruisers
- 11 Mediator-class Battle Cruisers
- 76 Imperial Mk. II Star Destroyers
- 113 Victory Mk. II Star Destroyers
- 156 Destroyers (Various Types)
- 97 Frigates (Various Types)
- 219 Corvettes and Gunboats (Various Types)
- 7,500 XJ6 Starfighters
- 5,500 XJ5 Starfighters
- 13,550 XJ7 Starfighters
- 6,400 Other Starfighters (Bombers, Recon etc)
The gathering had of course, raised the needed attention, but their target was four days away by hyperspace. It was with that in mind, that the Admirals all together decided to act. The provisions and ammunition were in place for a week's worth of firing, which had of course, limited ground deployments within the Battlegroup. Luckily, reinforcements could be called upon to deploy the necessary forces to capture planets if necessary. After just over a week of planning, the Battlegroup finally headed into hyperspace towards the Imperial Coalition. OOC: Edited to reduce starfighters down by 100x, my mistake, misread a book on casualties.

OOC: It's a battlegroup, just like the Attack on Coruscant was made by a Battlegroup. That had over two million i believe, if it wasn't starfighters then it's possible it was something else, I'll check and make changes. EDIT: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Second_Battle_of_Coruscant_(Yuuzhan_Vong_War)I got it wrong, must have been casualties in the book Editting my original post now
