"So you're sure its all our planets?" said Fran Gerald, a female human who was also the BM Representative for the BM. "Yes ma'am." said the officer. "The Grand Admiral has sent a wire to all Embassys to stay put. He has a feeling that the Imps will be coming here soon enough."

"Oh, dear, I never do get any rest, do I?" Consul Werck had just arrived from Mandalore II, and here he was again, in the middle of a war, already being told to negotiate a new agreement. This time with the pirates.
His Lambda shuttle landed, and four Guardians came out, then an aide, and then the Consul. As he descended, he saw Fran Gerald waiting for him. She was deathly pale, and looked very upset. Werck smiled his best smile, and greeted her.
"Ah. Consul Gerald. A pleasure, as always. How may I help you?"

:You tell me Consul. We're the one with Imperial warships above every one of our planets, without any military provocation by our warships." said Fran.

Werck smiled even wider. "Oh, oh, I see. I see. You're talking about our recent war declaration on the Black Moon organization. Well... let me explain, Ms. Gerald. Your leaders have been recorded in dangerous meetings with warlords and Mandalorians. Furthermore, we also have reports of a mysterious 'United Front'. This constitutes a danger to the Galactic Empire. We recieved this information some time ago, and in view of the recent Mandalorian takeover of some of our planets, we decided to act immediately to foil any alliance ties you may have had, as welll as to prevent a generalized invasion of our territories. See, this information reveals you were in on the Mando's plans, and that you betrayed the Imperial-Black Moon Alliance treaty. Thus... we declared war on you. What else do you want me to say?" Werck stopped talking, and shrugged, as if he were talking about unimportant matters.

Fran frowned. "What Black Moon-Imperial Alliance treaty? I know we helped you take back Coruscant, but I don't ever remember any treaty being signed by the Grand Admiral... And you're invading us on a hunch? I'm sorry Consul, but that's just not good enough. Figures show that we just don't have the numbers to invade you, even if we wanted to, which we don't. So you pretty much launched an unprovoked attack on the Black Moon and its allies... Excellent... Consul, if Imperial warships are immediatly removed from our planets, I can assure you that we will forget that this incident ever took place, and will return to pre war standings with you."
OOC: Sorry about the delay... Ugh... Female friends on medications... Not a good combination...

"Consul. You were given Imperial protection. You were given exclusive trading rights. Even if there was no signed treaty, you were part of an official alliance with the Empire." Werck had stopped smiling, but he was completely relaxed. "You're in no position, Consul Geral, to make demands. It is me who will be making them. Those are OUR warships on YOUR space, and you do not have the firepower to withstand a concentrated Imperial assault for long. Here are the conditions for an Imperial retreat: Black Moon will sign an official treaty allying itself with the Empire. This treaty will ensure that the Black Moon will support the Empire in case of a war, but will also give you the benefit of our protection and free trade amongst our planets. The Black Moon forces shall all stand down, and an Imperial garrison will be present on all your flagships to prevent a mutiny. This garrison will consist of no more than 100 stormtroopers, and will always be stationed on the command bridge. Black Moon will declare its alliance with the Mandalorian Empire nullified, and will assume whatever position the Empire takes against or towards them. In case of a war, the Empire will have complete rights over the 1st Black Moon Battle Fleet, including taking over it with Imperial troops in case of a war. In a sense, you would be giving it to us as a gift, a gift we would give back after the war. You will inform the Empire of absolutely all your meetings with other faction leaders other than Imperial Moffs and Admirals. Those are the terms, Consul." OOC: Negotiation time has begun. I know these terms are kind of harsh, so we'll need to find a middle ground. And... yes, female friends on medication aren't good. Last time I was with a friend like that, she kept saying I was a duck...

Fran frowned. "You realize that some of those terms are completely out of the question? The 1st fleet is headed by the Grand Admiral personally. There is absolutely no way he's going to give you his own fleet. And there is absolutely no way that he is going to allow you to let stormtroopers on his ships? That goes beyond political, he has a personal issue with stormtroopers..."

Werck shrugged.
"Then the 1st will be destroyed. And every other fleet you have as well.
But, come, come, Consul! Surely you have some better advice to give, some intriguing suggestion? What should be the terms for this treaty?"

Fran frowned. "There's no way 100 stormtroopers will be allowed on every flagship. I can see maybe an Imperial liason on the Talon's Revenge however."

Werck thought about the offer for a moment, but it was not a long one. "Again, the 1st will be destroyed. Why shouldn't we have a small complement force on your flagships? If not a hundred then how many would you be willing to have? Eighty perhaps?". He wasn't going to let this go, he had been given his orders and he was going to follow them the best he could.

"Why shouldn't we have a small complement force on our flagships? Because they aren't Imperial warships! They're warships of Black Moon! There is no use for them in the first place!" exclaimed Fran.

There was a tense sigh from Werck, his point hadn't been made clearly enough, something which didn't really surprise him. "Your fleet is considered a threat" he stated, going straight to the point this time. "We could attempt to track your fleets, some part of the military probably is already, but we find it far easier and more trusting if you allowed us to have access to this information. Now i know what your going to say, why not have a fleet log copied to the Imperial High Command. Well that will not do, they know you could easily change details and want a presence on that fleet. So, I'm going to make a suggestion here". Werck paused, waiting for a response he did not get. "Why don't we link this fleet of yours into a fleet of ours? Have them perform their various tasks in union along our borders and elsewhere? Each fleet would keep an eye on the other and it could be seen as the first steps to recovering diplomatically. What do you think?".

Fran shrugged. "I can't tell you any definates. I still have to run all this by the Grand Admiral before I can give you an answer. I was to contact him after this meeting."

"No need, Admiral Kornos was sent to pull our fleets back off the attack at Bespin and talk to him personally on this. Our meeting here is just to help further the goals of the Imperial High Command" Werck said with a shrug, not caring if Fran would be upset by the news or not. "I'll let Kornos know that he should bring it up, otherwise, your free to stay at the Embassy. Our forces will leave your grounds here and won't come back without warning in a act of goodwill. Is there anything else before i go?".

"No." said Fran. "Goodbye." She turned and rentered the Embassy, followed closely by her Marine guards.
