I've been thinking about this and i think a dark blue with a white or grey text would look good. These would be using gradients, buttons along the top etc. smurfytest2.proboards.com/index.cgiWhat you think?

Well because it's probably hard for you to imagine because theirs nothing concrete on the design, that test board will host the template when i design it. It won't all be at once however, so there will be some time before it all fits in perfectly. I'll still design it even if you don't like it at the end, the template I'm designing is because i couldn't find a similar one for proboards, and therefore it will be used.
Update, I've created a basic set of gradients on the test forum, but the top one i eventually want to be patterned across the full width. Maybe with a blue orb in and some glossy bar where the text goes?

Agreed. BTW, why do you have a 99% warning level?

I was bored I was planning on making the text colours and home buttons tonight but sadly got taken to somewhere and didn't get back in time. I'll possibly do it tomorrow, shouldn't have much on. They will be gradiented and appear more like pushable buttons, i may even make them highlight and appear to press down when your mouse is over them. There is a code for it somewhere, depending if i have the chance to make the extra icons for each. EDIT: Just for a note to myself... - CSS SKIN - PART DONE
- MAKE WHITE TEXT SILVER
- MAKE LINKS DIFFERENT SHADES OF ORANGE WITH POSSIBLY USED LINKS BEING A DIM GREY
- BANNER
- PM BAR GRADIENT
- PM BAR CODING
- DIANGONALLY LINED BACKGROUND MOSTLY TRANSPARENT
- ON/OFF ICONS
- BOARD HIGHLIGHT FIX
- GLOSSY BOX FOR FORUM TEXT ALSO DIAGONALLY LINED TRANSPARENT TO SUIT, POSSIBLY LIGHT BLUE LINES
- CODE TO SEPERATE NEWS FADER FROM MAIN BOARD
- CODE TO REMOVE WELCOME MESSAGE AND PMS
- CODE TO DISPLAY GROUP MEMBER COLOURS
- TOPIC AND FORUM ICONS
- RECREATION OF SOME REDFIVE BOARDS FOR TESTING PURPOSES
- TEXTURED TITLE BG/POSSIBLY PEN TOOL TECHNIQUES WITH ORBS AND CURVES
- SUBMIT FINISHED DESIGN TO SSD EVALUATORS

Just use the default skin for now yes?
Let me know what needs to be improved on it.
I plan to make the affiliate table so we can advertise properly and also get us a new banner and background soon. Otherwise, what else would you like to see?
Maybe a PM bar instead of the text? That would probably go above the news fader at some place?
Edit: I'll also change the forum layout a bit. I took a look at the old redfive and noticed how much it's changed from this to what that was.

I'm going to stick with the Redfive skin because it loads quickest for me, but otherwise it looks good.
