Everyone reaching the age of 18 is required to serve six years in the Armed Forces. People under the age of 24 are required to serve four years while people under the age of 26 are required to serve two years.
Once the first batch is over, people reaching the age of 18 shall only have to serve four years, unless a state extension is deemed necessary.
This will take place on all member planets within the next two weeks, bringing the military into the tens of millions.

OOC: *Is confused* This doesn't make sense. So everyone under 26 is supposed to serve two years, and everyone who is less than 24 has to serve 4 years More?

OOC: Doesn't the way your thinking about it. Those who are older and havent served don't stay in for so long. So if your 26, you only serve till your 28. Don't think of it on a standard requirement to serve, think about it about people doing their part when they are at their best. It's aim is to strengthen the Coalition's forces and to make sure they all have military experience. If people are 26, why have them serve till they are 32 when they will be needed in jobs throughout the Empire If everyone was in the military till they were 36, then who would be working elsewhere in other sectors and making the economy tick over? Although those who are older don't get so long in the military, it's some experience. If person a is serving till they are 32, when they are 33 they are in a job. If person b is serving till they are 24, they have a job when they are 25. With that, there's people of all ages going into work, making the economy continue and the Empire itself keep stabalised. Once the last batch of people have gone through their military training, people will only have to serve 4 years from the age of 18. Hence, all will have military experience already. You get it now?

OOC: A point linking to this, people who are managers in a job will need experience in that sector and in most cases be older and more responsable. If everyone was in the military till they were 32, then there'd be nobody to take these positions. You get what i mean? There'd be an age gap otherwise.
They are also serving a reasonable amount of time in the military, so an older person is required to serve less because they are needed elsewhere. While people at a younger age are made to serve 4-6 years because that's whats best, they aren't so needed.

OOC: lol, i don't know why you two are confused. It's whats happening The reasons are that not everyone's got military experience but most will have now. Plus people are needed for economy still so i can't keep them all serving the same time. The Empire would collapse if i did.

OOC: That's not what i mean. What I mean is that your age limits overlap. so basically, it doesn't work. Anyone who is under 24 is ALSO under 26, right? So if you're saying everyone under 26 needs to work 2 years, that means anyone under 24 ALSO has to work 2 years. However, if you also say anyone under 24 needs to work 4 years, then that means they need to work 4 years + 2 = 6 years.

By saying under 26, i mean up to a point, so if i also say under 24, then obviously the 26 will only count for that to 24, then the 24 rule under it. I'm sure it's obvious.
