Stormtrooper: The usual stormtrooper, armed typically with a blaster rifle, a pistol and hand grenades, although some will also carry missile launchers or more mission oriented weaponry. Their armour has been upgraded to sustain 2-4 blaster rifle rounds, making them much less vulnerable than before. They make up the bulk of the Imperial Army
Elite Stormtrooper: Infantry soldiers who show particular promise are selected to be part of the ES Army Division. Elite Stormtroopers are well known for their efficacy and ruthlessness, as they will stop at nothing to reach their objective. Their armour and weaponry are much the same as the usual infantry, but their targeting and tactical maneouvres are much better.
T- Spec. Ops Trooper: T - Spec Ops U stands for Terrestrial Special Operations Unit. Their armour and weaponry is customized for each mission, varying from very light armour and target-specific weaponry to heavy armour and destructive weapons. At any rate, these troopers are a match even to the Mandalorian army, and a threat to be considered. They may be deployed in small groups of 4 - 24 for single operations, or, in the case of an invasion, they may play a variety of roles as support or advance units.
S-Spec. Ops Trooper: The Space counterpart to the T-Spec Trooper, these troopers are unmatched in space combat. Able to fly pretty much anything, they may be dropped inside a hangar or ouside. The S-Spec looks extremely large due to the enormous amount of armour and equipment he carries, used for blasting through armoured doors and hostile crews. Although much too heavy to move if gravity is present, high-tech mechanisms within the armour support the trooper, allowing them to move at almost the same rate as normal soldiers. This mechanism relies on large amounts of energy, however, and the S-Spec. must stop periodically (every 3rd - 4th hour) to replenish his energy stock. The S-Spec squadrons will vary from 6 - 24, and may be accompanied by drones used to penetrate armour or hack into computers.
Anti-Mech Stormtrooper: Much more heavily armoured than its stormtrooper counterpart, the AM Stormtrooper aims at dealing with any mechanized divisions blocking the way for an invasion. They may be armed with a variety of weapons, usually high power and meant only for use upon vehicles. They move within protective squads. Usually, every typical squadron will have 2 AM Stormtroopers to deal with any armoured hostiles.
Sniper: Self- explanatory. Lightly armoured and very fast, armed with a customizable sniper and a small rifle for close-fire situations. Every typical squadron has 1 sniper.
Dark Trooper Phase I, II, III, IV & V: The Dark Trooper is an android, meant for hit-and-run missions. Armed with powerful blaster cannons and mini-missile launchers, these droids will deploy against the enemy using their jetpack. After penetrating enemy defenses, they will wreak havoc for a short period of time, then use their jetpack to return to their original position. Increasing phases have greater tactical and targeting capability, maing the Phase V Dark Trooper an extremely dangerous android. Armour is resistant, but can be easily pierced by explosive rounds.
Shield Trooper: A new trooper, born from Gungan technology. The Shield trooper is a prototype soldier. Armed with assault rifles, they are meant to be used in high danger situations. They have a bubble shield that works by parts. I.e, each part of the bubble shield is maintained by a separate generator in the troopers armour. As such, firing consistently at one part of the armour may disable only part of the bubble shield, making the ST much less vulnerable. A trigger mechanism has been included in the assault rifles to allow the shield to momentarily go down at the same time and place the rifle fires, allowing the Shield Troopers to defend themselves. Shield Troopers are deadly, given the combination of their skills, new technology and determination.
Shield Support Trooper: Akin to the ST, these troopers carry a handmade shield, and are lightly armoured. They carry only a lightweight rifle, and are meant as cover for fallen soldiers. Because the shield is not particularly expensive to make, Shield Support Troopers are among the more inexperienced troops in the Imperial Army. Still, their usefulness should not be underestimated.
Advance Soldier: Armed with a variety of weapons, these soldiers are used for reconnaisance and first contact missions. They are fast but dangerous, and have the capability to call in surgical space strikes against particularly strong enemy positions. They work in tandem with Penetration Soldiers.
Penetration Soldiers: Probably the most heavily armed soldiers in the Imperial Remnant, their job is to break the enemy lines. Armed with high power weaponry, moving in teams of 6 - 24, and working together with Advance Soldiers, most enemy armies are hard pressed to find a true equal to the Penetration soldier.
Imperial Guardians: Sometimes called Jedi Assassins, these warriors are handpicked. Their numbers oscillate between 250,000 and a million, but they prefer to keep numbers small so that they can be trained more, and better, and so they are furnished only with the best of equipment. Standard issue weapon is an extremely heavy assault rifle J-1. Although even heavier versions are available ( J - IV is a non-standard anti-vehicle weapon) most Guardians are most comfortable with the first version. They carry a vast array of weapons, amongst which is extremely expensive equipment designed to create a Force-Vacuum from which very little, or no Force at all, can be drawn. They are trained in martial arts to the point that they can overwhelm practically anything, while their cortosis-imbued armour is capable of taking heavy damage, and will disable a lightsaber. Prototype squadrons of Guardians are always being created, but Imperial Scientists have replicated the basic Imperial Unit, and Shield troopers. Currently, they are working on a mind-reading armour that will enhance the squadron's working abilities. Furthermore, even more additions to the mainstream Guardian armour are being planned, including magnetically-induced kinestesia, and psychic shield activation. Although not yet working, these models are expected to be available soon, albeit at very high costs. --- Please keep in mind all information in this paragraph is TOP SECRET.
