The Eagle landed elegantly amidst the wreckage in the Palace. Hammond exited, followed by an escort of four troopers bearing the insignia of the Imperial Elite Guard.
They were met by two lines of unfriendly stormtroopers, and their commanding officer.
"Present your ID documents, please."
Hammond raised an eyebrow.
"Present your ID documents, or be shot, scum bag."
Hammond motioned, and an aide gave the man a holodisk containing the information he wanted. Immediately, the commander paled.
"I am Imperial General John Hammond. You learned about me in your tactical History classes, Captain. Now, please, take me to whatever HeadQuarters your commanders have established."
OOC: Anyone have any problem with me taking command of the Empire? I'll post that Xizar is missing in action, and the Remnant needs a leader... that way he isn't dead, but he doesn't stop the game.

OOC: Kavar can't take over the Remnant without the leader's permission, can he? Well, we'll see what happens.

The Generals and Admirals commanding the Invasion, some of the highest ranking in the Empire, stood around the Command Room, instinctively disliking Hammon, but respecting him. Not everyone was important enough to be frozen for millenia, after all.
"Grand Admiral Xizar is missing in action, General. The last we knew of him, he was visited by some Sith, then he was gone. He came to the planet's surface, but we lost communication when they were near to landing. Neither the ship nor any of the crew have been found. We suspect he has been abducted."
"Very well," Hammond grimaced. He did not want to do this, but Xizar wasn't going to be back soon, not if he had been kidnapped, and the Remnant was in a state of complete paralysis. He took a deep breath, "As the highest ranking..." He paused to look around at the Imperial Commanders, making sure they understood, "As the highest ranking military commander of the Remnant, I will take control of both the military and political branch. I was awakened because great danger threatened you. Now, please relay my orders."
Everyone in the room looked at Hammond. An old man, who had introduced himself as the High Imperial General, nodded, but two other Admirals disagreed. One crossed his arms, and shook his head. "Do you really expect us to give in so easily? Xizar is our Commander. If he is really dead, it is up to the Imperial High Command to rule until a new leader is elected, democratically."
At those words, Hammond glared at him. "Do you really think this is the way of the Empire? To democratically elect its leaders? The people don't need to choose: We are a warrior empire, we need a warrior leader! I..." Just as Hammond was about to launch on a tirade about his military experience, the old General interrupted.
"The Empire does not need a democratic leader now. We need someone who is able to lead us in War until Xizar is found. We have new intel that says that the Mandalorians have started a war with the Republic. It is just a matter of time before this turns into a matter of Galactic importance. I, for one, take Hammond as my leader." Everyone nodded at this counsel, albeit grudgingly.
"Very well. Relay a message to the Galactic Empire that a new leader has taken Xizar's place, and that they are to obey him. Now, ready my ship. I must return to Bastion."

The assault transport from Mandalore II arrived at Theed's large pavillions. John, without losing any time walked elegantly towards the palace entrance where Dan Zorko of the Black Moon would be waiting for him. He stopped at halfway, turned and looked at Jalua.
You coming?

Dan stood at the Palace's entrance, waiting for this mysterious commander of the Remnant. Dan stood, and glanced at one of his Reaper's, who was flanking him. These Reapers had been trained by former Imperial commandos, and while Dan knew they would not break discipline, they were extremely uneasy, especially with all the stormtroopers around.

"Well i haven't got anything better to do" Jalua responded with a smile, before walking with the Supreme Commander towards the palace entrance. She noticed the face of Dan Zorko from some intel of the Black Moon Pirates. This was going to be a big event it seemed.

Alright. Come on.
John continued up a large set of stairs, followed by a couple of troopers and Jalua. He approached the Black Moon's leader.
Mr. Zorko. Finally I meet you. It is an honour to meet a man, of your status. Please, follow me.
John continued towards the palace throne room, constantly being saluted by troops and commanders stationed around the palace.
Now Mr. Zorko, let's talk business.

Dan followed him in. He walked side by side with the man, to show they were on equal footing. He nodded. "Of course." he said. "What do you wish to discuss first?"

Well yes, the Imperial Remnant has just recently changed its supreme commander recently, as you well know. I've still got some things to catch on. So, first thing first. Why are you and your organization creating an ambush here at Naboo? It is a Remnant planet as of a month now.
John continued walking towards the palace room, and when he arrived he sat down in a large rectangular table, in which he signalled Dan and Jalua as well.

Jalua looked at her datapad, it gave several reasons, but she let Dan start first, while she thought of the best line to use in response. Her datapad also flashed into life telling her that the Coalition Fleet had begun travelling out of orbit, against orders from the Imperial Admiral. Obviously, neither of the two men knew anything about this yet, but she had a head start. With a smooth motion, her hand brushed the lightsaber clipped to her belt. It remained hovered over, while her other hand appeared normal, holding her datapad. If the soldiers stormed into the room, she would be quick to act. OOC: Continue like normal

Dan was about to answer when one of the two Reapers accompying him lightly tapped him on the shoulder. The man bent down and whispered that he just got word from the fleet that the Imperial Coalition was starting to move out of the system. Dan stiffened a little. He whispered back. "If the Imps fire on them, have the fleet reboot and help out the coalition." The man nodded, and resumed his post, talking on the private channel with the Talons Revenge. Dan settled back into his seat. "Sorry about that, slight problem with one of our ships that needed to be resolved." he said. "In regards to your question, we attacked to free the gungans. We strongly disapprove of slavery, and sought to free the people." At the end of his speech, he locked eyes with the female across the table, who was doubtlessly the Admiral's daughter. He made a small nod, then returned his attention to the Remnant leader. His troops back at the LAATs were ready in a momments notice to depart and fight their way out, and the fleet was prepared to send more starfighters to cover his withdrawl, if needed.

Jalua recognised the silent nod was reserved only for her to see. She reached out in the force and sent a flood of images into Dan's mind. It was of her jumping onto the table with lightsaber ignited, protecting him and his reapers to the transport. It would no doubt give someone not experienced with the force a great deal of surprise, the most notable reaction was checking to see if it was really happening afterwards. Jalua sat calmly however at the table, still listening to the conversation, before realising that she could also justify their presence without causing too much attention. "Being close allies and fighting several opponents together, we felt it necessary to not only join our neighbour on this operation but also to defend them if necessary with our fleets after the battle". Jalua stated, before going quiet again. It was after she said this that she felt the Supreme Commander had no indication on what was happening above the planet.

Dan blinked as he saw the female jump on the table in his mind. She watched her blocking some shots with her lightsaber, then gaurding him back to his transport. Either hhe was having wild fantasies, or she was using the mystical Force to project this into his mind. It was obvious that they needed to get out of here, and soon. He put his hand on the tabletop, and quickly tapped it twice. The Reaper off to his right immeadietly got on the comm, and alerted the shuttles to be ready to evacuate. In the hangar, none of the Reapers had any notable change in stance, but all were ready to fight on a momments notice. Dan closed his hand into a fist, and both Reapers raised their rifles. Dan stood. "And now, I believe I will take my leave. It appears that your forces are engaging the Coalition, which means that our peace talks are over." Dan started to go down the hallway with the troops guarding the rear. He appropriated a blaster pistol from one of them and held it at the ready with one hand, while speaking into his wrist comm with the other. "Prepare for one more passenger."

Jalua almost wished that she hadn't alerted Admiral Zorko to the risk. She knew that the Supreme Commander didn't know anything but Zorko must have believed he was behind all of this. " I could read your mind, i knew you didn't know what is happening. I had an alert on my datapad and Admiral Zorko got the information from his bodyguards. Several times both fleets have been told to orbit the planet with no shields and only essential systems on-line, with the face of certain death if they refused. My father, the Emperor, is leading the fleet himself and probably got bored waiting like a slave. Now, i can't tell you how to run your Empire, but i seriously suggest you either get a ceasefire signed and withdraw your Admiral from the region or allow him to continue" Jalua said to the Supreme Commander. She was still sat at the table, waiting for the next move. OOC: Go and take off if you need to Dan, I got another storyline going here with John If not, I'll be with you shortly.
