"Sir?" asked one of his Reapers.
Dan watched the man leave. "Let him go. He seems convinced that we are the bad guys here. We'll deal with that later, but now we have a battle to fight. Let's keep this with as little casualties as possible." A sudden thought struck him and he called after the jedi: "This was inevitable, even without my prescence! You're lucky I'm here to help even the odds a little"
Dan turned to the viewport and started giving orders. "Ok, lets do this! Have the Immobilizer 418 turn off the interdiction field! Launch all starfighters! Spread out among the Alliance Fleet and open fire on the Mandalorian and Remnant ships. Stay out of the way of that ion cannon."
Dans ships started to move, and the interdiction field was shut off. As they were moving, the 6th Special Forces Support Force dropped out of hyperspace. Dan opened a line up to the group's flagship.
"Nice of you to join us."
"We miss something?" came the reply.
"No, it's just the beginning unfortunatly.
"d**n. Ok, where are we needed?"
Dan started issuing orders: "Spread out among the Alliance Fleet and open fire on the Mandalorian and Remnant ships. Stay out of the way of that ion cannon."
Dan heard a low whistle. "Remnant and Alliance? How deep are we in now?"
"Pretty deep." Dan replied. "Launch your starfighters. Have Renegade and Dark Blasters squadrons and Corruptor 1 engage the enemy. Have Corruptor 2 cover that shuttle."
"The Alliance one?"
"Yep."
"On it."
From the hangars of the Special Forces ships came the starfighters. 24 TIE Defenders, 24 Z-95 Headhunters, and 12 X-Wings streaked to engage the enemy, while 12 X-Wings buzzed around the shuttle.

When the shots began to hit the shields of the ships, that was the last straw. The return fire order was given and turbolaser batteries began to fire at their Mandalorian Targets. It would be interesting to see if the Remnant swooped against them, considering war with the Mandalorians was now certain. With this in mind, the fleet remained in position around Onderon, defending the planet which would soon come under an assault.
Meanwhile, a nearby beacon sounded the presence of another fleet, issuing the alert to the Trenton Barracks on the surface of Onderon.

The Admiral Sighed. So it has come to this then.
"Open Fire! All batteries forward!" He yelled. Xizar himself was finally on route.

OOC: Thats okay, time for strategy IC: The Republic Fleet braced itself, now the Remnant had gotten involved and of course, that was relayed back to Coruscant to the Naval Command and the senate which was holding an emergency meeting. With the fleet becoming increasingly under attack from turbolaser fire. Luckily however, distance was against the Imperial and Remnant Fleets, they would need to close the gap before been able to accurately fire before the shields would recharge up against their attacks. That would get them within range of the Ion Cannon and hence they would have to assault the planet itself to have any success and at painstakingly slow progress.

Back on the planet of Onderon, Lieutenant DelaCrois was in his barracks, cleaning his rifle. There had been rumours around the base that there was a battle outside the planet's atmosphere. DelaCrois, not being one to trust rumours, headed to the Communications room and ordered the Comms NCM to patch him through to an officer at the Naval Headquarters.
When he was finally patched through, he reached Commander Akar, a liaison officer from the Navy to the Army.
"Commander, I am chatting with you to confirm whether or not the rumours that there is a battle raging over Onderon are true,"
"Lieutenant, these 'rumours' are in fact, true," Came the reply from the relaxed Commander.
"Should forces on Onderon prepare for possible confrontations?" Lieutenant DelaCrois queried.
"It is possible that ground combat may happen, but your Commanders on the ground will be notified of the possibility, should an offensive be launched by enemies. As of now, your Commanders are being informed that they should be on High Alert for any ground activity out of the ordinary," the Commander informed him.
"Alright, thank you Commander, signing off," Lieutenant DelaCrois finally said.
Lieutenant DelaCrois started preparing himself mentally for combat, should it happen. Being an experienced soldier, it was not new to him, but he found it often helped to be mentally prepared.

A group of shuttles descended down into the atmosphere of Onderon. They were tasked to evacuate all of the staff who would be in most danger if an invasion occured, all that would remain would be the turret gunners, ion cannon operators and the soldiers defending the facilities on the planet with vital importance. The shuttles landed in groups, able to carry over eighty passengers and mostly in groups of four shuttles a landing zone.

DelaCrois watched as any non-combat personnel were evacuated. He wondered when the ground-force commanders would address the troops about the situation. Then it came, the ear-piece in his ear informed him to get his section of troops and get them to the mess hall immediately for a briefing of the situation. He walked into his barracks quickly and shouted, "All troops, to the mess hall immediately," to which the troops replied with a loud, resounding "Yes, sir!"
A few minutes later, every troop in the camp, with the exception of some guards and turret gunners, were in the mess hall, waiting for the briefing.

Delso paced on the bridge of the omen, dishing out orders as needed. THere had been considerably less fire from the pirates and Republic after their first few shots. Now would be the time to strike, but getting too close would result in being in range of that ion cannon. The mandalorians were in the process of building a supercharged form of these cannons on many of their planets, but lacked the knowlege to finish the base structure with the efficientcy that the alliance had done.
"Admiral move our entire fleet forward as much as possible but avoid that ion cannon. The reserves should stay back planetside as a guard. Also, send word for the remnant to follow our lead."
If progress kept up as it was going, then not only win this battle, but in the end, perhaps take back Onderon herself. For what he had in mind, the people of Onderon would remimber the stories passed down by their ancestors.

There was yet another prescence in the briefing hall. Caedus Sadow stood in the back corner. His hood had been raised for stealth, and he too wanted to shed a little more light on the situation at hand. He didn't understand the Alliances move here, it was unjust and corrupt. The jedi council would never approve of an alliance with pirates, however, they would want him to protect the people down here on Onderon if an invasion did come.
moments pass
An Alliance commander looked to be ready to speak, perhaps he would have some word from the council

"Admiral the Mandalorians have sent word. They tell us to follow suit." "Then we do just that, but be careful or it will be your head captain. I'll not have one of our ships get caught up in that ion cannon, and you are not to stop firing while getting into position. I'll not have our fleet be the weak link in the chain. Show the Mandalorians what kind of ally they now have."
"Yes Admiral." The captain bowed and moved out to his station. Xizar would be pleased with what we are doing with such small in number.

The alliance major who was on the comm to the Jedi Master responded. "Master Jedi, we have been assaulted while defending the shuttle of diplomats. We are holding our line and reinforcements are going to be hours away. Our best option is to defend the planet the best we can and evacuate everyone we can before retreating, this battle is not one worth fighting for, even with the Black Moons on our side".
Meanwhile, the ships defending the planet continued to fight with their long guns, while quad-lasers laid down covering fire against any incoming starfighters.

OOC: I'm sorry, but I'll have to do it tomorrow. My flight was over 2 hours late, I missed the boat home, my bus got stuck in traffic, and it took me a total of 6 hours to get home. I'm a little tired.

OOC: No problem my end, I'll continue the battle for now until your recovered ------------- Above Onderon, three ion bolts streamed through the atmosphere and onwards towards the approaching fleets. The population which wished to leave Onderon was already taking off and the surplus forces had been shipped to the fleet or out of system by now. Onderon was a planet with a fate, the Republic couldn't defend it without having to invade it's moon, and that would be too difficult and costly. Furthermore, the Senate was now in uproar back on Coruscant and was blaming everyone but themselves. They had the opportunity of the past of deciding who to go to war with and had mostly freedom on decisions, but now the military was reacting without the Senate's approval, which could take months. But without question, these last few hours had proven to be very valuable for the Republic, they could now plan ahead and being securing surrounding systems. The problem being that if the Republic had to fight on two fronts, they would be weakened and the fleet would be unable to defend even half of the systems under attack. The best thing they could do would be withdraw, although the Senate would probably rather sacrifice the fleet to try and save whatever planets they could. The large guns of the warships however, sounded true to their goals. Flinging destructive energy at a determined enemy. With the planet soon to be under siege, the plan to withdraw began to reach it's height. On the planet, the remaining soldiers were beginning to be withdrawn to the fleet, while supply and support ships that wasn't needed for the retreat was already escaping out of the planet's gravity well, soon to be in the paradise of hyperspace.
