Admiral Qu'Sar blasted out orders across the bridge while Galor attempted to contact his daughter. The ships had shaken from the Ion Beams and now the fleet was preparing to counter-attack. "Sir! Enemy transports heading to our ships, looks like they are going to board". "Launch all starfighters immediately" Qu'Sar responded within seconds, he was a decent tactician himself and nobody would put him to shame on this day. The R-Wing Starfighters made their way first out of the hanger doors, being more agile and faster than X-Wings which accompanied some of the Coalition Fleets. They also had thicker armour than an A-Wing, meaning they could survive for longer. However, the R-Wings was still in prototype forms, so adjustments needed to be made and although the starfighter was excellent already, it showed several weaknesses to the trained eye. Trained their opponents was.

1000 X-Wings from the Lok Shipyards came out of hyperspace above the Coalition fleets. The main fleet was about to power up and help when these ships arrived on station. Admiral Grothew, the Admiral in charge in Zorko's absence, immeadietly issued orders. Pushing 65, his voice still was powerful and hard. "All ships, activated engines. Deploy starfighters to intercept thos boarding parties. All starfighters coming on station, start interceptions now." With a roar of the engines, the X-Wings dived down upon their targets, ready for battle with the shuttles.

With the Imperial Coalition now firing back at the approaching Remnant Starfighters, the R-Wing's moved into position to attack the shuttles in lightning fast raids. This would minimise the risk to themselves and give them a better chance of breaking the shuttle's formation. Meanwhile, other elements of the Battle group was beginning to respond to the act of aggression and was preparing themselves for a long battle.

OOC: Dan, do you have a deathwish?
IC: Upon the first movement of the Black Moon cruisers, the Imperials opened fire. They had targeted the bridge and hangar areas, and the turbolaser fire crowded horribly, followed by missiles and ion cannons, the barrage deadly to any cruiser that held it for long.
Soon, over three thousand TIE Fighters and Bombers had been released to fight the pirates.
They had made a very silly move. After all, the Remnant had not spent their time idly, just circling their enemy. Their shields were at full power, and they were ready to deal with the pirates promptly.
As for the Imperial Remnant, the ATR Assault transports were heavily armoured, so they were not particularly worried about being blasted at. However, to distract any fighters from hitting them with proton torpedoes, they were protected by Fighter escorts. However, their primary objective was to land immediately, regardless of starfighter casualties. This would end, and it would end fast.

OOC: You wish
Dan's ships also hadn't been just sitting there. The whole time they were preparing for this momment. Almost immeadetly, the shields were kickstarted , just in time to block most of the brunt of the barrage. Starfighters were released, and moved to engage the bombers and fighters moving in. The ships moved into a giant arrow formation, with the Executor SSD in the front, mercilessly slagging anything that got in their way. Weaker ships stayed towards the middle of the formation, and steadily, they moved towards the Coalition.

Several minutes had passed and the Remnant Transports had crossed seriously close now. Starfighters had been dogfighting and doing well but the turrets on the fleet wasn't fast enough to shoot down many enemy starfighters. Transports were much slower however, and smaller laser cannons and light turbolasers were firing with a more effective result. Meanwhile, the ex-Special Forces Support Group Elite, now part of the Royal Guard, had decided to order people across all ships to take arms and await the stormtroopers in the hangerbays. The ramps would take a few precious seconds to lower properly and if the Imperial Stormtroopers couldn't get out quickly enough, the laserfire would decimate all of them within the transports. Although they could get into the ships, they would be unlikely to get of the hangerbays with dozens of soldiers and other crew, maybe hundreds, firing at the small space the enemy was stuck in. The soldiers even began to call the incoming transports, 'ducks'. Sitting ducks they would hopefully be.

OOC: Well, ur command ships sure are not going to take a whole lot more, so I'd be very careful. Also, as it stands, ur too far away to help our friend here. This will be over soon.
IC:
The Assault Transports were practically there. They moved in squadrons, maneouvring crazily to dodge the missiles.
"Very well, men, you know the drill!" Inside every assault transport, the stormtroopers attached cords to their armour, double checked their weapon, and got ready to board.
The first wave came at the Imperial Coalition. Instead of putting down, however, the assault transports flew in, and, after passing the hangar doors, opened fire on the enemy. They opened their ramps, and, without even pausing, the stormtroopers came down, hanging by cables and firing at whoever they saw. Immediately, grenades and missiles were launched at the enemy, along with great, hollow boxes, that contained some ammunition but were mainly meant to provide cover in the desolate hangar. Transport after transport came in, the stormtroopers jumping from the ships and hitting the ground rolling, firing without stopping, and then took defensive positions along the newly established "perimeter" of boxes.

Galor walked to the bridge where Qu'Sar was viewing footage of the flagship's hanger. "Same tactic on every ship we have" Qu'Sar noted with a grim face. "Very well, if they want to play dirty then so shall we. Evacuate the hanger bays on every ship and seal the blast doors. It shall take them several minutes to get through even with those transports. Release the shield and we will put them in into space" Galor instructed with a grim determination. "Emperor, are you-", "Yes i am sure, starve them of gravity".
After receiving the orders across the battle group, marines and crew which survived began to head back into the ship, making covering fire for remaining soldiers to run to safety before the doors slowly began to shut. They might have moved slowly, but layer after layer began to shut down around the doors, a formidable system designed to keep out starships from penetrating the ship itself. Not all ships were designed with this in mind, but hanger doors are still effective. Suddenly and with little warning, the artificial gravity disengaged and left starfighters, bodies and crates floating in the void created. With a sizzle and snap, the shields went down and the remaining oxygen escaped from the hanger bay.
OOC: No doubt your stormtroopers will survive somehow, I'm sure you wouldn't let them die this easily. It shall slow you down anyway.

OOC: Of course.
IC: Imperial boarding protocol required magnetic attachments for all space-bound troopers. As such, they did not fly along with the rest of the debris, and neither did the boxes. However, the starfighters, materiel and other stuff in the hangar flew wildly, causing the transports to crash, and causing many casualties.
OOC: Will post more tomorrow or day after tomorrow, but too tired to think of any more right now.

When the transports finally descended into the hangerbay, Jalua turned to the Supreme Commander. "You go first, they won't be pleased to see a Jedi Knight" she blurted, knowing full-well that some of the soldiers within the transport didn't want her here either. It showed a weakness, that they had Admirals who acted like warlords. This did not concern her however, she wanted this rouge to be arrested and the battle to end, mainly so her father and his fleets could escape safely and rally more systems to his cause. What was still bothering her was the fact that the Sith were now desperately expanding themselves beyond the usual boundaries, preparing for war by the sounds of it.

Imperial Encrypted Frequency. Second Phase for IC Boarding is Go. Suddenly, the transports stopped loading troopers into the hangar bays. Instead, the ATRs sped away from the hangars, opening their ramps in space, the troopers trailing from cables behind them. They were dropped off in groups of two or three squadrons at different points where the armour had been pierced through or looked weakened, allowing the engineers to cut through the durasteel and into the cruisers. Although risky for them, these were Imperial Marines, well trained for space combat, and they were quite capable of staying in space for longer periods of time. Also, it would be quite useless for the enemy to try to blast them off, as they would end up damaging their ships far more than the stormtroopers could ever manage. Inside the hangars, the stormtroopers were no longer being pulled away, as there was no air at all in the hangars to pull away, and everything that could be removed had already flown off. Only the boxes and the men remained. With a signal, the men got up, and began to work. Several of them set up a perimeter around the now sealed doors, whilst the heavier, bulkier troopers took out missile launchers and mortars. They divided into their squadrons, ready to destroy their enemy. The ground shook as the troopers in Galor's flagship fired their missiles simultaneously at two doors. Then, as this did not blow them off, two engineers stepped forward, and began to work on one door at a time. After a lot of careful drilling and chiselling away, they set up two mines, and stepped away. The men took their position, and smoke grenades were prepared to fire as soon as the doors went down. OOC: Your move, galor. You can blow your own doors down.

OOC: Sorry about delay
With stormtroopers finally blowing their way through the hanger doors, the defending soldiers, marines and crew was forced to head back into a fighting retreat. They sealed and locked blast doors behind them, to further slow down the invading soldiers while picking them off between corridors. The retreat was slow and steady, causing a great amount of casualties on both sides. Luckily, the invaders would no doubt need to form together into an effective force to capture the ships, and this was unlikely because the defending troops had completely surrounded the passageways around the hanger bays on most ships.

OOC: Flagship name is.... ? IC: On Galor Iram's flagship, there was now a considerable buildup of troops on the hangar. However, whilst most of these troops were simply stormtroopers, there was also one elite trooper unit dispatched to capture the enemy commander. They moved slowly, diverging across the halls, moving through different corridors and passageways. One trooper, upon reaching a corner, stopped, kneeled, and raised his fist. Everyone stopped. A back up trooper moved towards him. Complete silence. They moved forward very carefully, pointing their guns in the direction opposite them. When that was declared clear, the lead Elite took out a small mirror, held it in front of him, and looked across the corner with its help. He saw five Coalition troops, one machine gun. They were guarding two blast doors that could be approached only from one direction. Undoubtedly, there would be more. The trooper attached the mirror to the wall with a sucker, and carefully adjusted his weapon with a silencer. His support man did the same thing. They looked at each other, and nodded. They had done this a thousand times before. The trooper stood up, his back against the corner. As his support jumped sideways, gun blazing, he turned the corner, aiming at the spot where the machine gunner's head would be. Two shots hit him in the face, four more soon hit the man behind him. The support trooper jumped, his gun also blazing, taking down the man on the corner, and hitting another on the neck. Then, before the last man could react, both troopers fired once at him, and he crumbled to the floor, a shocked look on his face. The Elite turned to the men behind him, and raised his hand in a "Move Forward" signal. The entire squadron assembled in the hallway and prepared to mount an assault. "SP Alpha, please give your location." The Elite Squadron was ready to pierce the main entrance to the ship's command deck (where all strategic, comm., and systems rooms are located, the rooms below the Bridge). "We are..." the radioman checked his ship blueprints, then confirmed, "We are on top of the strategic systems deck." "Can you blow it up?" "Sure thing" The battle in space raged on, and the entire battlegroup stood still as they watched a TIE Fighter pass them screaming, flaming, only to impact on a nearby turret that had fired at it. "We'll be ready in two." The team moved back, leaving small mountains of carefully placed explosives behind them. Then, they called in a strike. Suddenly, three TIE Bombers broke away from a nearby squadron, swerving at full speed. Two were shot down before they could reach the checkpoint, but the last one managed to release its bombs right on target. The explosion was massive. Immediately, a gaping hole opened, and large numbers of men, computers and random stuff flew out. The SP Alpha, however, jumped in, using their magnetic boots to move towards the ships floor. The blast doors opened, and both captains met again. "You took long enough." "I'm sorry, the blast door wouldn't open when this room depressurized." Both men grabbed arms quickly, then got to work again. This time, they needed only to move one more floor up, and they would get to the Admiral, Emperor, soon to be worthless hostage. The techies also got to work immediately, inserting viruses into the strategy room computers that still worked, causing all coordinated firepower to be lost against space craft.

OOC: I think Emerald.
The Emerald, flagship of the fleet, ordered the evacuation of all crews on all ships that were being overrun. The Coalition had a good cause and would continue if people could pass the message on further. Those who could evacuate, would no doubt take the chance now. But on the bridge of the flagship, the Emperor stayed put. "Admiral Qu'Sar, take your leave and head back to gather our forces". Qu'Sar bowed his head before shaking the Emperor's hand. "Goodbye old friend".
A few minutes later, a huge explosion could be heard, no doubt from a nearby floor. The bridge had been evacuated but Galor Iram stood watching the battle. Hundreds of Thousands of Escape Pods were being launched, filling space with a thin cloud. Thousands of fast craft, capable of picking up these escape pods, were attempting to rescue who they could before they finally retreated. Not all of the Coalition Forces would be saved, but whoever was would no doubt remember this day. The Nebula Star Destroyer 'Magnitude', seemed to still stream onwards with full engine power, one of the few ships that did. Admiral Qu'Sar would be on that ship, ready to carry the Emperor's word to more systems and planets, rallying them to unite for a better galaxy. Then Galor's eyes burned an orange glow, for a few seconds the light was too bright for him. When his vision returned, 'Magnitude' exploded in one enormous blast, sending a shockwave through several dogfighting starfighters in the vicinity. Hearing another explosion, one which left his ears ringing, Galor didn't bother to turn around. He knew the Remnant had captured him, possibly ready to shoot him. These few precious seconds would determine his fate.
